Privacy and trust
The conversation belongs to you.
FO-C-US measures whether a shared moment is happening. It does not need to hear, transcribe, or judge what your family says.
- Random participant identifier
- Nickname chosen for the table
- Ready, down, in-use, or disconnected state
- Optional game choice until the live reveal ends
- Shared minutes
- Conversation-moment count
- Date and partner context
- Reward status where relevant
- Minimum cohort thresholds
- At least a 24-hour delay
- No family or table identifiers
- Tests excluded from public totals
- Off until you allow it
- Page path without query strings or private-link fragments
- Anonymous funnel event and broad device class only
- No names, contact details, answers, prompts, or session codes
Honour before surveillance
FO-C-US is a voluntary family ritual.
Motion detection happens on each phone where supported. Clear manual controls remain available. Necessary use pauses the shared moment instead of punishing the person.
We will not use microphones or behavioural inference to “prove” that a family engaged with a topic. Any future research involving audio would require a separate, explicit consent model and would not be silently added to the core experience.
